Contrary to rumor, CFLOCK is not gone – just different
- If you don’t lock access to shared scope variables (application, session, server), CF MX won’t experience the memory corruption that could occur in previous versions
- However, race conditions as well as overwriting of values can still occur.
- In many (most?) cases, you’ll continue to want to lock
